The mall has pretty much died. Only a few places left open in the food court & the few that are there try to wave you down & get pretty aggressive about it. There were a LOT of empty stores, however several of MY favorite stores are still there. I used to love coming here, eating at one of the MANY restaurants there. Walking around & browsing through the MANY stores. It was quiet & ALL but deserted. Very sad.
As of December 2017, this mall appears to be headed out of business. There are currently a lot of vacant spaces - it did not feel like HVAC was running to part of the mall. There are a couple of decent shops still in business, but, given the amount of shoppers (or lack thereof) on a holiday weekend, those shops likely will not be around long. The location is convenient to 95 and 295 just North of Richmond. There is ample free parking around the entirety of the mall. There was not very much traffic (driving or foot) around the mall.
This mall is slowly dying. A few years ago, this mall used to have tons of business. The food court is decent, not too many option. It's a good mall if you're looking for a Sears, Burlington, or JC Penney store. Other than that, I would go to Short Pump.
This mall needs a lot of WORK! It’s dark inside and outside. Does not feel safe. Many empty stores. Perhaps try bringing H&M, Forever 21, Champs, Journeys...Better Dining and food options, TGIF’s. A good power washing would also help!
Nice, clean mall. But very few stores. Nice place to do indoor walking. The Macy's store was a big loss and is much missed.
