Crystal Mall is located in Waterford, Connecticut and is the only regional mall within a 50 mile radius. Trade area includes the towns of Waterford, Mystic, New London, Groton, Norwich, Stonington, East Lyme, and Salem in Connecticut, as well as Westerly, Rhode Island. The area is home to the U.S. Coast Guard Academy with more than 1,000 cadets, all of whom live on campus and located 10 minutes from the Crystal Mall. There are four (4) area colleges and universities located within a 2 to 4 mile radius from the mall as well. Many students are bused to the mall on weekends. The center is a short distance from Connecticut's Mystic top tourist attractions such as Mystic Aquarium and the historic Mystic Seaport. And two top tourist attractions, Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun Casinos, are less than 12 miles away.
